Schoon Vertier maakt 18 jaar gepassioneerd muziek en dans. Wat in 2005 startte als een cabaretfanfare is anno 2023 geëvolueerd tot een wervelende band met een duidelijke rock-‘n’-roll signatuur, aangevuurd door blazers, een stevige ritmesectie én een zangeres.
Noem het gerust ’t Schoon Vertier 2.0.
Een nieuwe wind, een nieuwe look en nieuwe nummers. La fille d’O - Murielle Scherre - zorgde voor een dash of reddish charm (‘een kleur voor godinnen!’),
Flat Earth Society-boss Peter Vermeersch voor het slotnummer,
muzikaal in goede banen geleid door bandleader & componist Stoffel De Waele,
in een regie van Schoon Vertier bezieler/choreograaf Lieselot De Sadeleer.
’t Schoon Vertier geeft een nieuwe invulling aan de traditionele majorette, haalt dans van het podium, gaat in interactie met de straat
en makes girls go pop-up.

The name says it all.
Mochten de goden de wereld herscheppen
tot een plek waar het altijd zomert en waar vrolijkheid de orde van de dag maakt,
dan zouden ze Schoon Vertier aanspreken om elke dag feestelijk te openen.
En deze topband + schitterende danseressen zouden luid ‘ja’ zeggen.
‘Doen we!’
Schoon Vertier. Dat is feest. Amusement. Enthousiasme.
Pure emotie en een waterval aan muzikale passie.
Het perfecte antidotum tegen de sleur van alledag.
Deze 20 koppige band knalt met
drumsticks, snaren, koper, stem, benen,.. .
Ze lanceren een scène waarin hun fijn geselecteerde danseressen op volle toeren doorheen de show
het publiek aan de grond nagelen als een rots rondom, waar geen enkel beeld aan u kan ontsnappen.
Tussen beklijvend stof vanuit die bonzende band tollen de parels in haar songs.
Aangevuurd door opzwepende tunes.
Een muzikale blend van de meest populaire genres van de voorbije eeuw.

just look at them dancing, ever so closely together. entwined almost. my ratio and my heart. it is quite the challenge to keep em both well fed and balanced. no wonder the color RED presented itself into my mind. like a hot topic. the perfect color for a sunsoaked feast of skin versus fabric. red is a classical color. the stimulant that speaks directly to your subconscience, a call to action. red invites us to get well grounded. provides protection from fears. a color fit for deities. if it is good enough for deities and brings good luck, might as well get some of it on our skin.
this collection called AHT UH MI HED is inspired by the shuggie otis song. could it be that the song worked its way into my system exactly like the color red affects us? no collection ever came from an external inspirational source. my personal growth as a human is what leads my creative path.
AHT UH MI HED is everything i want to be wearing this summer. it is the support my body needs in order to allow my brain to flow freely. a very feminine and powerclad gathering of shapes, varying from the tiniest cover ups to firm grips of decent sized pieces of fabric. performant pieces and shameless ones. all crafted from our new swimwear fabric, developed in the tiniest country in the world, called Belgium. i am still obsessing over our three cm wide elastic band so there are dashes of that here and there. some are actual dashes, delicate at heart. some are more like the brush- strokes of a mad person. and it is just perfect as it is.
all handmade in belgium bien sur. fabrics made in belgium. trimmings made in germany. hardware made in france and germany. we don’t do compromise.
